Health Benefits of Replacing A Morning Coffee with Green Tea

Why Switching from Coffee to Green Tea is Good for You

Many individuals include coffee consumption so heavily in their daily routines that they rarely pause to consider whether it might be more detrimental than they realize. There is nothing like that first cup of coffee in the morning to wake you up and prepare you for the difficulties of the day, or that second cup at noon to get you through the workday. But if we grow overly reliant on coffee, we could have a tendency to guzzle more to get the same results and accidentally hurt ourselves. Finding a healthier alternative, like as green tea, is a smart approach to break the cycle.

Green tea has a longer effect

Although it has a lower concentration of caffeine than coffee, green tea is nonetheless a potent stimulant. The primary distinction between the two is that whereas coffee offers you a brief energy boost that is followed by a severe crash, green tea gives you the same type of energy that lasts at least a few hours longer. This is due to the presence of L-Theanine, an amino acid that prolongs the effects of caffeine. Additionally, green tea does not cause the same restlessness, sleeplessness, or jitters that excessive coffee use does. As a result, drinking green tea instead of coffee will give you more energy.

Tea doesn’t dehydrate you

Because coffee is a natural diuretic, it greatly dehydrates the body, making it challenging to maintain adequate hydration throughout the day. This is particularly true if you exercise regularly or perspire; it just seems like you can’t drink enough water to make up for the lost fluids. Green tea, on the other hand, has the opposite effect and is a great way to rehydrate your body and increase your fluid consumption. You don’t need to increase your consumption of pure water for it; you can drink it hot or cold for refreshment.

It is healthier

Antioxidants included in green tea are extremely beneficial to our bodies. They protect us from free radicals, keep us balanced and healthy, and enhance our skin and overall well-being. Natural matcha tea, for instance, has 60 times more antioxidants than spinach and 17 times more than blueberries! Since it also contains chlorophyll, which detoxifies the body, it aids in preventing cancer, lowering bad cholesterol, and eliminating toxins, poisons, and heavy metals from the body.

It helps weight loss

Even while it might not seem like much when we are used to drinking coffee, there is not much we can add to or eat with green tea, but we typically drink our coffee with sugar, cream, add a muffin or a piece of chocolate. This makes a significant difference in our daily calorie consumption. Additionally, green tea can help you burn calories far more quickly than coffee by boosting your metabolism.

Last but not least, green tea has less negative health effects than coffee and is less addictive. It also keeps your energy levels more steady throughout the day and offers some health advantages that coffee does not. Try it, you’ve got nothing to lose.
